Jack Purcell's signature smiley face just got a more refined treatment. Converse First String Jack Purcell has dropped two new colorways—"Mountain View/Marshmallow/Chestnut" and "Premium White/Marshmallow/Black"—with the upper now upgraded to premium canvas. The low-top silhouette remains unchanged, but it's the easily overlooked construction details that have gotten a makeover.

The stitching on the upper references the mid-1970s pattern, while the collar has been slightly raised as a nod to the 1980s version. The tonal molded heel tab retains the era-appropriate "JP" lettering and wedge logo. As for Jack Purcell's most recognizable feature—the "smiley" toe cap design—it's still here, but the shape of the rubber trim has been reworked, with cleaner, sharper lines than before.
