The five-dollar slime platformer launches on the same day as Rockstar's long-in-the-making masterpiece. While all developers are trying to avoid the launch week of "Grand Theft Auto 6", Devolver Digital is doing the opposite. The publisher announced years ago that it would launch its own game on the same day as Rockstar's blockbuster hit, and now it's finally sharing the details.
"Volvy's Adventure: Reslimed" is created by developer Doinksoft. It is officially positioned as a remake of "an action platform game that has never been released". The graphics style is similar to the studio's previous work, the roguelike platform game "Dark Scrolls". In the trailer, the protagonist Volvy wields an exaggerated giant fist to smash through levels and enemies, collecting onions and looking for hidden elements along the way. The story sets him up to retrieve his kidnapped friends and stop a group of wizards from spreading slimes around the world. Players can also transform Volvy into a stronger version of Swolvy, with mini-games interspersed between each level.
