Gemini and Apex have entered into a partnership that will see Gemini serve as the execution and clearing hub for broker clients offering crypto event contracts through Apex. According to both companies, any brokerage that opens up crypto prediction market contracts on Apex's platform will have its trade matching and clearing operations routed through Gemini.
The arrangement extends Gemini's role beyond that of a standalone exchange into a back-end infrastructure provider, allowing traditional brokerages without direct ties to crypto trading systems to offer event contract trading indirectly through Apex's existing client relationships. The two companies did not disclose further details on when the partnership takes effect, which brokerages are involved, or what types of contracts will be covered.
