Intercontinental Exchange (ICE), the parent company of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), has approached tZERO, a blockchain securities platform, and the two companies will work together to build the infrastructure for tokenized securities. tZERO is confirmed to be a design partner for ICE’s upcoming tokenized securities platform, which means that tZERO will be involved in the platform from the planning stage, rather than waiting for the system to take shape before being approached for integration.
The relationship between the two parties does not stop at technical cooperation. ICE will also invest in tZERO’s latest round of financing. This means that this established exchange group is leveraging tZERO’s experience in tokenized securities to build its own platform, and at the same time, it is directly putting funds into tZERO’s equity structure. The two lines of cooperation and capital are tied together at the same time.
At present, the public information only stops here. The launch time of the platform, the scale of financing and the amount of ICE’s investment have not yet been disclosed.
