The name Air Max 2 CB '94 carries the weight of '90s basketball courts all on its own — CB stands for Charles Barkley. The shoe that accompanied him through his NBA battles is now confirmed to return in a "Black/Varsity Royal" colorway, style code IX4182-010, set to release on Nike.com and select retailers on August 14, 2026, priced at $160.

This time around, the colorway is relatively restrained: a black upper as the base, with Varsity Royal dropped in on key structural elements, while white handles the trim work. No clashing colors, no extra graphics — just black, blue, and white in direct dialogue. For a basketball shoe born in the '90s with a silhouette already loud enough on its own, this pared-back approach actually lets the shape itself come back into focus.

Official information lists both August 1 and August 14 as dates, but the one marked "expected release" is August 14, with purchases locked to Nike.com and designated retail partners.
