QALO Launches SL-1 Smart Band, No Monthly Fees and Syncs with Smart Ring

QALO Launches SL-1 Smart Band, No Monthly Fees and Syncs with Smart Ring

One ring apparently isn't enough — QALO now wants something on your wrist too. The brand, best known for its silicone wedding bands, just unveiled the SL-1 Smart Band, officially stepping into Whoop-style screen-free health tracking territory.

The SL-1 tracks a comprehensive range of metrics: activity, sleep, blood oxygen, heart rate, stress, heart rate variability, and skin temperature. All this data is distilled into a single Q-Score from 1 to 100, giving users an instant snapshot of their daily physical and mental state. The band also supports menstrual cycle tracking.

QALO is betting on two things to stand out. First, there's no monthly subscription fee — a clear differentiator in a category dominated by subscription models. Second is the ecosystem play: since QALO runs both a smart ring and smart band lineup, the two share the same app and user data. The brand's thinking is that people might switch between devices depending on the occasion — wearing the band at work or during workouts, then switching back to the ring for going out — with all the data staying synced in one continuous record. This "wear two, one data stream" approach is something no other brand currently offers.

The SL-1 Smart Band is available now for $199.95 on QALO's website, with a free extra band included for direct purchases. It's also set to hit Walmart shelves later this fall.
