Shokz has translated the opposing characters of Phantom Blood, the first part of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, into two different headphone formats. Launching October 23, 2026, the limited collaboration comprises Jonathan Joestar OpenRun Pro 2 and Dio Brando OpenDots 2, priced at ¥27,880 and ¥29,880 respectively in Japan. Choosing between them involves both a favourite character and a preference for a connected wraparound design or separate ear clips.
Jonathan: Hamon and a knight’s sword in a wraparound design
The Jonathan edition is based on OpenRun Pro 2, with navy and grey-white colours reflecting the character’s composed appearance. Hamon imagery and elements of the Luck and Pluck sword associated with Bruford appear on the sides and in smaller graphics. Story references become localised details rather than a complete character portrait printed across the product.
Blue Hamon imagery frames the Jonathan-themed Shokz headphones.
OpenRun Pro 2 combines bone and air conduction in its acoustic design, with a rear band connecting the two sides. These are the product design and technical information announced by the brand, rather than TIDEZINE’s own findings on sound or wearing stability. Anyone using glasses, a cap or a helmet should check fit and clearance for their own circumstances, rather than deciding only on the collaboration’s colours.
Dio: the Stone Mask and roses become ear-clip details
The Dio edition uses OpenDots 2, with separate ear clips and a charging case. Grey-white tones referencing the Stone Mask meet red and gold, with roses and the character’s three moles adding further clues. Where the Jonathan model draws a connected line behind the neck, Dio concentrates recognition into small surfaces beside the ears and the case interior. The two translate the story in distinct ways.

OpenDots 2 incorporates what the brand calls ShokzBassphere 2.0 and supports Dolby Audio. These specifications offer a starting point for comparison, while sound, leakage and long-term comfort require individual assessment. An open design does not suit every setting automatically. Alongside character preference, consider where listening usually happens and whether a quieter form of use is needed.
Character voices and limited release: what is confirmed?
The collaboration adds a combined total of 12 character voice prompts, bringing the story into startup and operating feedback. That means 12 in total, rather than 12 per pair. Check the product pages for the prompts and their allocation between models. Incorporating voices into operation relates more directly to a headphone’s function than simply changing the box, allowing the collectible element to recur during everyday use.
The announced release date is October 23, but a limited collaboration does not guarantee remaining stock after publication, or identical pricing and warranty terms overseas. Buyers can first distinguish model, character, wearing format and Japanese yen price, then check Shokz Japan’s official sales information. Product photography shows colours and graphics; it cannot replace a personal fit check, and branded technology names alone do not establish a winner in sound quality.
