GTA 6-Themed DualSense Controller Pre-Orders Open September 10, Priced at $85 — Barely More Than the Game Itself

A controller priced at $85 — close enough to the price of the game itself that you might as well grab one while you're at it — is arguably the most practical takeaway from Sony's reveal of the Grand Theft Auto 6-themed DualSense controller.

Across two back-to-back State of Play showcases today, Sony rolled out dedicated hardware for the highly anticipated title: a limited-edition DualSense controller available in black and white colorways. The touchpad features the Roman numeral "VI" rendered in Rockstar's official font treatment, done in grayscale, while the button clusters are accented with hot pink details. The lower edge of the grip comes in a pearlescent blue — a not-so-subtle nod to the Vice City color palette. Both sides of the grip are also embossed with palm leaf textures, a tactile design choice rather than just a printed pattern.

Both colorways will officially launch on November 19, the same day Grand Theft Auto 6 hits shelves. Pre-orders open earlier, starting September 10 at 10 AM ET, with an expected price of $85.

Launching the controller alongside the game makes this feel less like an add-on accessory and more like an official "unboxing ritual" Sony has prepared for players. Pricing and launch details are based on information currently released by Sony; whether the product will be available in Taiwan, and at what local price, has yet to be confirmed.
