Open the media tab of PS5, and there will now be a whole row of things that should have been found on Pluto or Tubi. Starting August 31st, US time, PlayStation 5 users can watch more than 100 free, ad-supported live television channels (FAST) directly on the console, with content from Sony Pictures Television, as well as on-demand programming.
The channel categories are quite complete: movies, albums, animations, news, sports, and documentaries are all available. Since Crunchyroll is owned by Sony, it naturally has a good lineup of anime, including "Naruto," "Sailor Moon," "Hunter," and "Death Note." Movie Channel has invited MovieSphere by Lionsgate, 50 Cent Action, and Sony One Horror Hits to support the show, focusing on action, science fiction and horror films. There is an unexpected mix of TV series here. Next to "Legacy" and "Way of the Dead" are the American versions of "Double Eyes", "Fear Factor" and "Ice Road". In addition, there are also games, e-sports, podcasts and comedy channels. Sony said Live TV on PS5 will continue to update the program lineup and add new channels, and the service will be promoted to Canada and other regions.
