SUGARHILL and CARNE BOLLENTE preview Road 69 for midsummer 2027
The fictional motorcycle club brings heart-stitched denim, leather and airy knits together. Sales are planned from May 2027; exact dates, products and prices remain to be announced.
SUGARHILL and Paris label CARNE BOLLENTE have revealed a midsummer 2027 collaboration linking denim, leather and light tops through a fictional motorcycle club, Road 69. Imagining people riding through Tokyo summer nights toward a club, it places SUGARHILL’s materials, treatments and vintage vocabulary within CARNE BOLLENTE’s humorous graphic world. What is available now is a studio lookbook preview. Sales are planned from May 2027, distinct from summer 2026 collections already available to purchase.
Love Denim meets double-knee construction
CARNE BOLLENTE’s Love Denim is reworked as substantial double-knee denim, combining heart motifs with a workwear structure. Double knee means an additional layer at the knee, not two layers throughout the entire trouser or a protective certification. Photographs show orange heart stitching and white buttons against dark denim. The motif is read along the garment’s construction rather than added as a separate dangling accessory.

Trousers, shorts and denim jackets extend the same vocabulary beyond one pair of jeans. A dark denim outfit joins the upper and lower body into a continuous outline, while lighter washed trousers accompany a club-lettered top for a more relaxed proportion. These are observations of the preview styling, not confirmation that every photographed accessory will be sold individually or that complete looks will have one set price.

Club graphics across leather and knitwear
Road 69 lettering, shield-like patches and large back graphics create a recognisable identity for the fictional club. A white-bodied, dark-sleeved top appears alongside a motorcycle, while lettering across a dark jacket’s back suggests a team uniform. The club is a design narrative, rather than an announcement of a real riding-group recruitment event. Yellow, pink and grey studio backgrounds also distinguish these images from documentary photographs on a nighttime street.

Leather supplies a rougher surface and outline, while broad black-and-ecru striped knitwear sits at another end of the material range. Close-ups reveal open knitting, layering coverage against the visible underlayer. Alongside substantial denim, that makes midsummer about more than short sleeves. Leather, denim and knitwear retain different textures, connected through graphics and proportions rather than being made to feel identical.

When will the collection go on sale?
The current plan is for sales through authorised stockists worldwide and both brands’ official online stores from May 2027. Exact dates, shops, individual products and prices will follow. This is a future launch schedule, not a preorder already under way in October 2026. The preview also does not establish a full size range or prices for each country. Prospective buyers should wait for the product list rather than assuming every pictured garment can already be ordered.
SUGARHILL designer Rikuya Hayashi places the connection between the brands in the pleasure of enjoying fashion, rather than simply finding shared traits. In the preview, workwear reinforcement and emotionally charged motifs do give motorcycle clothing another expression. Following how heart stitching moves across garments, patches construct a group identity, and light and heavy materials interact offers a concrete way into this Tokyo–Paris conversation while the retail launch remains ahead.
