$400 million is just the starting point—$3 billion is the real ceiling this fund is aiming for. The focus of this Tether-Fasanara collaboration isn't the capital already secured, but the far larger fundraising target both parties have set for this "stablecoin-enabled private credit" product line, well beyond its initial size.
According to public information, the fund jointly established by Tether and Fasanara has an initial size of $400 million, aimed at deploying stablecoins into private credit. Both parties are raising capital from institutional investors, with a fundraising cap target of $3 billion, to be deployed through Fasanara's global fintech lending network.
Doing the math, the $400 million secured so far represents just over 10% of the target size, leaving a gap of nearly $2.6 billion to be filled by institutional capital. Further details on how the fund will operate, its lending targets and regions, and fundraising progress have yet to be publicly disclosed.
