The same ledger, two endings. A report released by Public Citizen pointed out that Donald Trump’s cryptocurrency businesses caused investors to lose at least US$4.7 billion overall; during the same period, Trump himself made US$1.4 billion in profits from these businesses.

These two figures are compared in the same report. The gap itself is the key point: one side is profit and the other is hold-up, with no buffer zone in between. The Block reported this data, but the report did not further break down which specific projects the losses and profits came from, and which time period they were calculated. It also did not explain whether the investor structure was mainly retail investors or institutional participation.

The current public information is limited to these two total figures, and the remaining details are yet to be further disclosed by Public Citizen or related parties.
