For two decades, UNDEFEATED and Jordan Brand's collaborative lineup has featured just one silhouette: the Air Jordan 4. That shoe kicked off Jordan Brand's very first-ever collaboration back in 2005, with its military-tinged olive colorway becoming synonymous with the partnership—so iconic that the two sides even reunited for a 20th anniversary retro in 2025. Now, for the first time, the duo is switching up their design canvas to the Air Jordan 5 with the "Moon Fossil" colorway, reportedly slated for an official release in February 2027 according to multiple sources.

While the silhouette has changed, the military vocabulary hasn't gone anywhere. The upper is built primarily from a weathered, tan-toned canvas, swapping out AJ4's signature all-over olive treatment for decorative spiral stitching along the sides and deconstructed piping that traces the collar's outline, keeping true to the series' handcrafted feel. The midsole stays black with the classic shark-tooth detailing intact, while the outsole gets a translucent blue finish—one of the few departures from the otherwise military-toned palette.

Brand identity is handled through subtle details: the UNDEFEATED logo is embroidered in olive green thread on the lateral side, with the collaboration lettering similarly stitched in olive on the heel. The oversized tongue carries on Jordan's classic grey-and-red combo, featuring a centered red Jumpman logo with a reflective stripe running through it—the sole pop of bright color on the entire shoe.

The Air Jordan 5 "Moon Fossil" is currently pointing toward a February 2027 release date according to multiple sources, though official details on the full launch and pricing have yet to be confirmed.
