JESSE’s Black-and-Red UA ICON 96: ¥26,950 Limited Release with MANKEY Charm and Box Sleeve
The SixTONES member brings his red signature color to a sculpted UA logo, with handwritten heel lettering and illustrated accessories. Japanese sales began October 23.
An artist's footwear collaboration can extend beyond a name on the tongue. Personally supervised by UNDER ARMOUR ambassador and SixTONES member JESSE, the UA JESSE ICON 96 pairs black uppers with a red sculpted logo, handwritten lettering, an illustrated charm and coordinated packaging. Priced at ¥26,950 in Japan, limited sales began at 10 a.m. on October 23, 2026. Late-October readers should check current stock rather than treat the release as still forthcoming.
JESSE wears the black-and-red shoes he supervised.
Black soles and a red logo create two kinds of volume
Side photographs show black extending from the toe into a substantial sole, while the red UA Heartbeat logo occupies much of the side. More than a small printed patch, its raised outline works with black lines to establish the shoe's structure. Red is also JESSE's signature color, bringing personal identity and an existing brand symbol together without another large text graphic.
Changes in upper surfaces and sculpted outsole texture keep the black sections divided. Front, side and paired views reveal different amounts of red, making viewing angle a useful comparison. Regular wearers of black trousers can consider how much upper their hems cover, rather than imagining an entire outfit from a single side view.
The pair and red sleeve share the same artwork.
A handwritten name and MANKEY artwork reach beyond the heel
JESSE's handwritten name appears at the heel. Another personal element is an illustration newly drawn by Tokyo street graphic designer MANKEY. It becomes an included charm and appears on the special shoebox sleeve. Against the red side panel, the smaller charm draws attention toward the laces, changing a view otherwise centered on the side logo.
The box continues the shoe's red-and-black language, distributing name, brand mark and character across its faces. Packaging becomes part of the collaboration's design. However, background boxes and store arrangements in campaign imagery do not all form part of an individual purchase; included items should be checked against the product description.
Red-and-black packaging connects name, character and brand.
Where sales began, and how to assess wearing specifications
Japanese outlets include the UNDER ARMOUR Rewards app, Brand House locations in Ariake, Osaka and Koshigaya, and other selected stores. The shoe uses UA HOVR technology, which the brand cites in discussing cushioning and comfort. This does not mean we have conducted a wear test or can guarantee one result for every foot. Size, width and intended use require separate checks on product pages or through fitting.
The design distributes JESSE's red, name and MANKEY character across the shoe and accompanying objects, beyond changing a colorway name. For everyday styling, examine black-red proportions and the trouser hem. For the collaboration itself, study the heel, charm and sleeve together. Limited distribution describes supply, without establishing that all outlets retain every size after October 23.
