2026 US Open starts on August 30: One ESPN Unlimited subscription covers all events

The US Open will be played in Queens, New York from August 30 to September 13. Defending champions Ekaraz and Sabalenka will both return. ESPN Unlimited, which starts at $32 a month, is the only subscription plan that allows you to watch the entire game.

In the past, if you wanted to follow the entire US Open, you had to switch between ESPN, ESPN2, ABC and Tennis Channel. Now, just one subscription is enough. The 2026 US Open will start on Sunday, August 30, and run until Sunday, September 13. It will be held at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, New York. It is the last Grand Slam tournament of the season. The qualifying competition has actually been held from August 24th to 27th.

The entire event will be broadcast on TV channels, but ESPN is the only platform to broadcast the complete US Open schedule. Subscribe to ESPN Unlimited, in addition to ESPN and ESPN2 itself, you can also watch ESPNU, ESPNEWS, ESPN Deportes, SECN, ACCN, ESPN+, ESPN on ABC, SECN+, ACCNX, NFL Network and CW Sports. This is equivalent to covering all the games marked "ESPN2 only" or "ESPN+ only" on the schedule, without the need to subscribe to a second service.

The price is $32 per month, or a one-time payment of $300 yearly. If you are usually chasing Disney+ and Hulu, the official also provides a three-in-one package for US$36 per month. After the subscription is completed, all US Open events can be found directly in ESPN's US Open area.

How to schedule key events

The first round of competition will start on August 30, and the competition on that day will be scheduled from 12 noon to 11 pm Eastern Time. The few days that really affect the direction of the event are the semi-finals of the men's and women's singles on September 8 and 9 - the men's and women's singles quarter-finals on these two days are played from 11:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Eastern Time.

The rhythm of the semi-finals is relatively tight: the top four women's singles will be held from 7 to 11 pm on September 10, and the next day, September 11, the top four men's singles will be divided into two periods: 3 pm to 6 pm and 7 pm to 10 pm. The women's singles final will be played first, from 4 to 7 pm on September 12; the men's singles final will be held from 2 to 5:30 pm on September 13.

In terms of defending champions, the men's singles is Carlos Alcaraz and the women's singles is Aryna Sabalenka. Both of them have to face a new round of challengers for their own titles. The U.S. Open official website also has a complete list of players and seed player introductions available for review.
