WestK LEGO HERO-WEEN's final weekend: free missions, DIY prices and the 31 October parade
Decorations remain through 31 October. Free missions and the brick zone return on 30–31 October, 5–9pm, with a free finale on the 31st at 6pm. Some workshops cost extra.
WestK and LEGO's HERO-WEEN enters its final week, with Halloween installations in the Art Park's Secret Garden remaining until 31 October. For families interested in the missions, the next dates to note are 30 and 31 October, from 5pm to 9pm. Those sessions differ from the overall event period, which began on 15 October: the full mission programme does not run every day. A free finale parade and party follows on 31 October, from 6pm to 7:30pm. Separating the schedules makes it easier to decide whether to photograph the installations, build with bricks or stay for the evening entertainment.
What does free admission include?
The organiser's publicity photographs show a light tunnel, large LEGO figures and comic-style backdrops turning the garden into a superhero setting, with monster projections appearing on the ground after dark. These are organiser-supplied images, rather than photographs taken by TIDEZINE on the day. The visual approach is bright and playful: daylight reveals the brick-built forms, while evening adds another layer of lighting. Workshops and missions still require a separate check of their designated dates and hours.
An official image shows a monster projection on the ground at night; mission sessions have separate designated dates.LEGO figures and a comic-style photo backdrop in the Secret Garden, with original event and brand lettering retained.
On 30 and 31 October, visitors to the free HERO HUNT can collect a Hero Mission Card, complete four challenges and gather stamps to redeem a gift pack that includes a LEGO Hero Badge redemption voucher. Tasks range from designing a hero badge and finding hidden minifigures for an action photograph to saying the required phrase, building a designated model within a time limit, then answering minifigure-counting and themed questions. The timed-build model must be returned after staff verification; completing it does not mean taking the whole set home. Gifts also carry quantity limits and redemption conditions, so admission does not guarantee a gift.
The brick zone is free; gear-up workshops have separate prices
The LEGO Hero Brick Zone also operates on 30 and 31 October, 5–9pm, offering a free space for children to build gadgets, vehicles or inventions. Families who want a craft activity can choose a mask-and-cape DIY set from HK$78 or a keychain DIY set for HK$68. The organiser also lists a complimentary keychain workshop for qualifying electronic-payment spending of HK$200 at WestK food, beverage and retail outlets on designated event days. Check eligible outlets and on-site redemption arrangements first; do not assume receipts can be combined or other offers stacked.
Other options include face painting at HK$150, hand painting at HK$80 and tattoo stickers at HK$20 for a set of three. Free admission therefore does not make every craft, painting activity or meal free. A useful way to plan the budget is to start with the activity each child most wants to do. Activities and workshop places are first come, first served. The organiser welcomes children aged four and above, and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Queueing, supervision and breaks all need space in the itinerary.
Planning the final evening on 31 October
The free finale on Saturday, 31 October assembles at the Secret Garden and runs from 6pm to 7:30pm, with a parade, fashion showcase and giant Halloween candy-smashing activity. The programme name should not be read as a promise of unlimited sweets. Flash-mob performances are also scheduled at 7:30pm and 8:30pm that evening, each lasting approximately 30 minutes. Programmes on 24 and 25 October have already finished: use the remaining dates when planning, rather than treating the whole October programme as available today.
The location is WestK Art Park, 8 Museum Drive, Kowloon, centred on the Secret Garden; some stage programming also involves the Harbourside Lawn. Before travelling, check the official WestK event page for current sessions and arrangements. In adverse weather, such as a No. 8 or higher tropical cyclone warning or a Black Rainstorm Warning, workshops may be suspended or end early; follow on-site notices and official social-media updates. Separating the general installations, date-specific missions and paid experiences helps families choose an appropriate final-weekend visit.
