ACT RUNNING C.1 Reaches Japan at ¥29,700: Shoe Details and Osaka’s November Trial Run
Paris label ACT RUNNING introduces its first running shoe, C.1, to Japan’s fall/winter lineup in five colors at ¥29,700. Registration is open for a November 1 Osaka trial run; check capacity, meeting times and the requirement to bring your own shoes.
Paris running brand ACT RUNNING is expanding its Japanese presence for Fall/Winter 2026, introducing its first running shoe, C.1, in five colors at an announced Japanese price of ¥29,700. The design combines a bio-sourced upper, nitrogen-injected foam and a substantial sole silhouette. Planned Japanese group runs move the choice from photographs toward trying the shoe on. The nearest session is scheduled for November 1 in Osaka’s Namba area. Alongside the footwear, prospective participants should check capacity and meeting arrangements first.
What are the C.1’s functional features?
The brand positions C.1 for everyday runs. Its BioFlite upper combines bio-sourced materials with a mesh structure, while the nitrogen-injected SupraFoam midsole has a forward-rolling geometry. The official black version’s specifications list a weight of 243 grams in size 42 and a 4 mm drop. These are brand-provided product figures, rather than substitutes for individual feel or running performance. Weight in particular needs to be read alongside the stated size, rather than applied to every size.
An upper detail shows the mesh, textured laces and construction around the eyelets.
ACT RUNNING also emphasizes product carbon-footprint labeling, making environmental information visible alongside design. To understand that claim, distinguish raw-material origins, production and the life of the finished product. “Bio-sourced” does not automatically mean the whole shoe will biodegrade. The upper is only one part of the shoe, and a footprint figure needs a defined calculation scope. Compare such information with durability and fit requirements, without treating the brand’s philosophy as an assessment of your own experience wearing it.
How do the five colors and sizing work?
The Japanese introduction presents five colors, with white, black, red-brown and brown-toned directions visible in the photographs. Large ACT lettering extends along the side, while pale midsoles lift the outline. Socks and shorts can leave the full shape visible. Strong black-and-white contrasts establish a clear focal point, while near-tonal versions read more continuously. Color names and availability in different markets should be checked on local product pages, rather than identified from photographs alone.

The textured LaceLock laces are designed to reduce loosening, while the wrapping construction connects the heel and forefoot. The product page advises going one size above everyday shoes. That is the brand’s sizing guidance and still needs to be considered against measurements and sock thickness. At a trial run, pay particular attention to toe space, heel movement and localized pressure after lacing. The decision should come back to your own feet, rather than only the visual volume of a thick sole.

Key registration details for Osaka on November 1
The Sunday, November 1 session meets at the ACT corner of the HOUYHNHNM booth at Namba Soto Fes. Reception begins at 10 AM Japanese time, with the run starting at 10:30 AM. The planned route is 5 km at a slow-jogging pace of 6 minutes 30 seconds per kilometer, adjusted for participants’ experience. Capacity is 15–20 people, with a lottery if oversubscribed. The organizer warns that requested trial sizes may not be available, so bring your own running shoes. A simple changing tent is provided, but no showers; arriving dressed to run is recommended.
Check participation rules on the ACT RUNNING Osaka group-run registration page. Submitting the form guarantees neither selection nor your requested trial-shoe size. A further ALPEN RUN session is planned for November 15, but details remain forthcoming, so times, fees and capacity should not be assumed. Consult the official ACT RUNNING C.1 product page for specifications. Japan’s price and prices on overseas sites belong to separate markets and should be checked separately.
