Clothing can offer footballers another form of expression away from the pitch. American Eagle's collaboration with global ambassador Lamine Yamal connects American denim and relaxed youth dressing through 29 pieces. This brand collaboration also revisits Barcelona's two-day Live Your City activation, from customization workshops and a mural to music gatherings, placing personal style within a city beyond naming clothes after a portrait.
Checks, stripes and wide trousers establish off-field proportions
Campaign photographs pair a loose checked shirt with pale, large-pocket trousers, giving the grid above and broad areas below distinct roles. A blue-white striped shirt with dark wide trousers concentrates lines on the upper body. Barcelona workshops make denim something to alter
The two-day activation included The Studio pop-up in Dreta de l'Eixample. Local creatives Urees, Otti Hats, Ugo Boulard and Düa Düa led free denim-customization workshops, inviting personal decisions about clothing. The project therefore considered how to alter an object alongside watching what Yamal wears.
Street artist TV Boy created a 21-meter mural, bringing Yamal into the city's public imagery. Workshop and mural operated at different scales: one near hands and fabric, the other visible from a distance. These activities appear in a retrospective and should not become a currently bookable itinerary or a permanently identical program.
Waterfront music and a long-term ambassadorship are separate layers
The activation finished at the American Eagle Beach Club at Moll de la Marina, joining clothing, music and a rap battle, with Yamal appearing unexpectedly as a judge. A specific two-day finale does not establish regular appearances or performances. The brand announced the multiyear ambassadorship in January 2026; October's clothing and city retrospective belong to that relationship, rather than a first signing today.
