Converse SHAI 001 Shroud "Spark" Surfaces: A Hint of Dream Yellow Hidden Beneath the Grey Shell

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander's signature shoe gets a new "Spark" colorway — the signature zip shroud stays low-key in grey tones on the outside, but unzip it and Dream Yellow lining is revealed underneath. Dropping October 9 for $140.

Same signature zip shroud design, but this time it's all about the "what you see isn't what you get" play. The latest "Spark" colorway of the Converse SHAI 001 Shroud tucks the outer layer into a near-desaturated grey (Ghosted) — quiet to the point of looking nothing like a signature shoe should. That is, until you unzip it and Dream Yellow pops out from the inner shell, revealing what this shoe is really trying to say.

The SHAI 001 is the signature line born from the partnership between Oklahoma City Thunder guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Converse. The core identity of the Shroud version lies in that zip-up shell: zipped closed, it's a clean, near-invisible grayscale sneaker; unzipped, it reveals an entirely different color logic. This "Spark" colorway carries on that same design language, just with a quieter, more restrained contrast.

Releasing the same day is the SHAI 001 Shroud in "Shock," also priced at $140. Also on the way: the SHAI 001 Lace Up "Cheetah" at $120, plus the Palmes x Converse Jack Purcell PDM in "Mountain View" and "Parisian Night," each priced at $100 — all rolling out in the near term.
