GDC and Malbon Golf Team Up for Denim Golf Wear, Bringing Chambray to the Course
Takashi Kumagai's Tokyo brand GDC has joined forces with LA golf label Malbon Golf on a four-piece all-denim capsule collection, rolling out in phases starting August 27.
What does denim look like on the golf course? GDC and Malbon Golf's answer is to swap out an entire golf fit for 100% Japanese cotton chambray — lightweight in feel, but still carrying that signature denim weight.
The collaboration is led by Takashi Kumagai's Tokyo brand GDC alongside LA-based golf lifestyle label Malbon Golf. All four pieces in the collection are made from Japanese cotton chambray, available only in light blue and navy — a restrained approach that puts the focus on material craftsmanship.
The two tops each serve a distinct purpose. The Collegiate Long Sleeve is a quarter-zip pullover with a stand collar, zippered welt pockets, and side zip vents for easy layering. The short-sleeved Pine Windshirt features back ventilation panels and a drawstring waist, built to handle breathability and movement during the swing.
The two bottoms tackle different comfort and functional needs. The Magnolia Pants offer a slim straight-leg fit with a zip fly, sticking to a traditional trouser silhouette; the Clubhouse Pants feature an elastic waistband with an adjustable knotted drawstring and elasticized hems, leaning more casual and functional. All four pieces are embroidered with the dual-brand "MALBON x GDC" lettering alongside Malbon's signature script logo.
Prices in the collection range from ¥39,600 to ¥44,000 JPY (roughly $249 to $276 USD). Malbon will launch the collection first on August 27, 2026, followed by GDC's official site and its Daikanyama flagship store on August 29.
