Maestro turns old suits into a 40-year archive: anniversary pieces, historic labels and tailoring plans

The Korean menswear brand marks four decades with five anniversary pieces, two jacket silhouettes, a historic-label campaign and plans for more clearly differentiated tailoring services.

Maestro turns old suits into a 40-year archive: anniversary pieces, historic labels and tailoring plans

A suit kept in a wardrobe for years may hold memories of a wedding or work, as well as a label the brand has since changed. For its 40th anniversary, Korean menswear brand Maestro places those old labels and its customers’ time wearing them within the same story. On October 27, 2026, LF outlined an anniversary collection, garment verification campaign and service plans. Beyond placing an anniversary number on new products, the interesting question is how the brand reconnects ready-to-wear, silhouette choices and personalized tailoring.

Five anniversary pieces and two jacket silhouettes

The special collection comprises five pieces across suits, jackets and coats, using premium Italian fabrics. Jackets take two approaches: Comfort Fit emphasizes a natural outline, while ROMA Fit highlights more defined structure. These describe different silhouette intentions, not two fixed sizes. Published campaign photographs layer knitwear, shirts and jackets, extending tailoring into everyday situations that do not necessarily require a complete suit.

LF says dedicated anniversary displays are planned for stores from late October. In official photographs, a tailoring table, sewing machine, fabrics and suited mannequins form a shared scene, while a 40th-anniversary sleeve label carries the message into garment details. For someone considering a winter jacket, this suggests a useful comparison sequence: examine the shoulder line and overall outline, then the room needed for layers, before being carried away by the atmosphere of an anniversary edition.

Historic-label verification through November 8: what are the conditions?

From October 26 to November 8, customers can bring a Maestro suit or jacket bearing one of three historic logos to a department-store location for verification. The first 40 qualifying participants receive a shirt from the 2026 autumn/winter collection. Separately, five customers who donate an eligible garment will be selected in a draw for a new jacket. Verification and the donation draw have different conditions: bringing an old garment does not guarantee a jacket. Check availability and arrangements with the store before traveling.

The brand held an invitation-only event for approximately 20 VIP customers at Raum East in Seoul’s Gangnam district on October 22. It introduced autumn/winter and next-season collections and discussed Sprezzatura as an approach to dressing with natural ease. That gathering has ended; it is not an exhibition currently open to visitors. It also differs from the ongoing label campaign: one invited customers to discuss their wearing experiences, while the other brings garments that have actually been worn back into the brand’s archive.

How will personalized tailoring be differentiated?

Maestro was founded in 1986, with manufacturing roots in a suit factory established in Yangsan in 1985. The announcement proposes dividing existing services into Su Misura made-to-measure, Alta Sartoria bespoke and Sartoria Italia Italian made-to-order, alongside strengthening the high-end ALBERO line. These names indicate different service directions; they do not establish identical processes, lead times or prices at every store today. Customers with a specific wedding or formal-event date should establish which options are available first.

The brand also launched Korean- and English-language websites on October 22. According to LF, these include Ceremony occasionwear, a Fit Guide comparing silhouettes, MTM processes and store reservations. Anyone interested in the label campaign can consult the conditions in LF’s official anniversary announcement. Those buying a suit can prepare their occasion, preferred outline and required adjustments before speaking with a store. The anniversary consequently concerns more than a new garment: it also asks how a suit continues to be worn through different stages of life.
