NEEDLES gives leopard and tiger print different proportions in Rabbit Fur
Announced October 20, the range includes coats, cardigans and two hats. Japanese prices are ¥176,000 for the coat and ¥104,500 for the cardigan; hat arrivals require checking.
NEEDLES announced its RABBIT FUR series on October 20, 2026, applying all-over leopard and tiger prints to a Rabbit Fur Coat, Rabbit Fur Cardigan, Bucket Hat and Bomber Cap. This is not a first announcement today, and the notice does not establish that all four arrived together. Checked coat and cardigan pages specify 100% rabbit fur: the name does not mean imitation fur, and the printed tiger or leopard pattern is not actual tiger or leopard pelting.
The two patterns have different rhythms within a related palette. Leopard breaks into dense small spots that draw attention to the fur surface; tiger uses broader black horizontal lines across a warm ground, remaining recognisable at a distance. An official look places the tiger coat over dark layers, leaving space around its pattern. These are visible styling decisions, not evidence of tested differences in weight or warmth between prints.

Broad lapels and length give the coat a continuous pattern
The Rabbit Fur Coat takes a Chester coat silhouette with broad lapels, a wide body and hook fastening that reduces interruptions from visible buttons. Its official Japanese price is ¥176,000. A long body carries the pattern from shoulder to hem. Quieter layers beneath can leave attention on the collar, length and glimpses of clothing in movement, rather than adding another equally assertive patterned top.
The leopard coat combines broad lapels and a long body with dense spots.
The Rabbit Fur Cardigan costs ¥104,500 in Japan. It shortens the body and gathers the outline with ribbed cuffs and hem, concentrating pattern on the upper half. It is more than the visual equivalent of cutting a long coat shorter: neckline, edges and distribution of volume also change. Purple lining contrasts with the warm fur in photographs, but colour alone cannot establish its fibre composition. Material names and actual labels still need reading separately.

Check length as well as width when selecting a size
The official coat’s XS measures 104cm long and 62.5cm across the chest laid flat. The cardigan’s XS is 66cm long and 60cm across, while M is 70cm long and 65cm across. These are garment dimensions, not recommended body circumferences. Even with a roomy approach, length changes the waistline and how much of the trousers remains visible. Comparing with a familiar jacket is more useful than assuming matching size letters create matching results.
The Bucket Hat and ear-covering Bomber Cap extend the patterns into smaller pieces. The October 20 announcement explicitly says hats will arrive progressively; product photographs alone do not establish that all are on sale. Their smaller area keeps animal print around the head, unlike the coat’s full-body effect. Prices, sizing and actual arrival dates should be checked with the retailer rather than filled in using information from the outerwear.

Decide the area of pattern before adding more
The range offers two routes: a long coat for a pattern-led outfit, or a cardigan or hat that leaves more space for trousers and layers. Leopard and tiger are graphic choices; rabbit fur is the stated material. They should not be confused. See the official NEEDLES RABBIT FUR announcement for the styles and hat-arrival notice, then check current stock and garment labels. The appropriate amount of pattern depends on how the piece will actually be worn.
