RAINS × Redoor AW26: comparing Sarna and three Alta puffers before Korea’s October 28 wider release
From matte three-layer fabric and PrimaLoft to long cargo and cropped silhouettes, compare four insulated jackets. MUSINSA’s preview is live; COEX, Hanam and the Korean online store join on October 28.
Danish brand RAINS and Korean four-piece band Redoor have unveiled their autumn/winter 2026 campaign, placing four puffer jackets in settings involving music, chess and sheet music. The line was previewed on MUSINSA on October 21 and will expand to the official Korean online store and two Starfield locations on October 28. The original project is branded collaboration content involving RAINS, Hypebeast and Redoor. For choosing a jacket, the useful distinctions are three-layer fabric, insulation structure, length and pocket configuration.
How does Sarna’s three-layer fabric differ from Alta’s PU surface?
The vocalist wears the Sarna Puffer Jacket, made from matte high-performance waterproof 3L fabric with taped internal seams, PrimaLoft insulation and body-mapped warmth. Chambered and flatter insulation areas are positioned according to the body, allowing the thermal structure and exterior lines to work together. Its regular fit, metal hardware and restrained panel lines maintain a relatively streamlined surface.

The guitarist’s Alta Bomber Puffer Jacket starts with the classic bomber, adding a boxy silhouette and utility pockets with RAINS’ signature waterproof PU fabric and welded seams. Sarna and Alta therefore offer distinct approaches: the former emphasises matte three-layer fabric and PrimaLoft placement, while the latter presents a PU surface, volume and storage details as another visual direction.

Four jackets: start with length and carrying habits
The bassist wears the Alta Long Puffer Cargo Jacket, combining an extended body with cargo pockets. The drummer wears the Alta Short Puffer Jacket, whose cropped proportions and pared-back lines take the lead. Both use the brand’s waterproof PU fabric and welded construction, with differences in length, coverage and overall proportion. Anyone carrying a phone and small objects in jacket pockets can examine the long Cargo’s compartments; those preferring a shorter upper-body proportion can compare where Short and Bomber hems fall.

Snow, rain, wind and falling leaves in the imagery are staged settings for this theme. Founded in 2020, Redoor developed from Hongdae’s independent music scene. The project connects the band’s continued musical rhythm with RAINS’ message, “Nothing changes, even when everything does.” The photographs give the clothing a story, but are not independently tested waterproofing or insulation results from the wearers.
Korea’s preview and October 28 channels: separate the dates
Korean distributor SJGroup says MUSINSA began its preview on October 21. RAINS’ official Korean Naver brand store and RAINS shops at Starfield COEX and Starfield Hanam, in Hanam, South Korea, join on October 28. As of October 25, that second stage is still forthcoming, so all channels should not be treated as already supplying the line simultaneously. These are Korean release details rather than confirmed launch dates for Taiwan stores.
Start by comparing size charts for the four complete model names, then consider shoulder width, length, layering thickness and pocket needs. Waterproof fabric, seam construction and insulation each serve a different role; one term should not be treated as a guarantee of every performance characteristic. The release does not list Korean prices for each model or inventory across every size. Check the official online store or MUSINSA product pages for a particular colour and size. The campaign’s most useful reference remains the proportions created by the four band members’ different jackets.
