BEAMS PLUS heads to Bishu on 7–8 November: patchwork jackets, doughnuts and a two-day shopping plan
Entry to the third-floor Civic Terrace at Ichinomiya's i-Building is free. Remnant-fabric jackets cost ¥71,500 and the CRAZY SHIRT ¥24,200 including tax; look at how dark sleeves and multicoloured checks divide the design.
BEAMS PLUS will hold LIMITED STORE in BISHU in Ichinomiya, Aichi, on 7–8 November, turning leftover lengths of Bishu fabric into event-exclusive clothing. It takes place at Civic Terrace on the third floor of the i-Building in front of Owari-Ichinomiya Station, from 10:00 to 17:00 each day. Entry is free, with purchases and food charged separately. This is an upcoming temporary event, rather than an already-open permanent store. Menswear enthusiasts planning a central Japan trip can focus on how the fabrics are redistributed, beyond the collaboration label.
Why does the checked jacket look relatively restrained?
The official ENGINEERED JACKET photograph shows three jackets. Olive sleeves and pockets provide a common framework, while each front combines different checks and herringbone panels. The eye recognises the darker outline before exploring the interior patterns. Because the sleeves do not change colour with every front panel, the composition retains a stable boundary despite its varied fabrics. The tax-inclusive ¥71,500 price is for one garment, not the three pictured jackets together; neither should every size be assumed to have the exact pictured panel arrangement.
A styling assessment can begin with the pockets and neckline. Dark pockets create stopping points at the chest and waist, while the collarless neckline keeps attention on the front. Small, busy patterns underneath could compete with these textures; a plain inner layer is one way to make the panels more legible. This is a proportion-based observation from the product image, rather than a TIDEZINE measurement of warmth, weight or movement comfort after wearing it.
The shirt brings patchwork to the foreground
The CRAZY SHIRT image has a different rhythm: the two front sections, sleeves, collar and pockets all use checks at different scales, distributing green, yellow, red and blue across one shirt. Priced at ¥24,200 including tax, it does not use the jacket's broad dark sleeves to contain the eye. Instead, the sections interact directly. Start by identifying a colour already present in your wardrobe, then choose which panel might connect with your trousers. CRAZY need not mean making the entire outfit equally complicated.

Reusing remnant fabric also shifts the shopping question from this year's fashionable colour to why these particular pieces sit together. Visible design and construction provide a starting point; fibre composition, care and actual availability still require the individual label or on-site explanation. Using leftovers is not the same as publishing quantified carbon savings, and a fabric's substantial appearance does not establish suitability for every temperature.
How can shopping and stopping for food share two days?
The event also includes food created with local shop food & donut Neji. The supplied image places a bacon-topped doughnut at the back and a burger using doughnuts as its outer layers in front. It gives visitors another reason to pause and notice local food alongside the clothing. The photograph is supplied menu imagery, not a TIDEZINE tasting record, and cannot establish portion size, flavour or every allergen. Limited food is sold on the day without advance reservations; availability depends on the site.

The i-Building is at 3-1-2 Sakae, Ichinomiya, Aichi, directly connected to JR Owari-Ichinomiya and Meitetsu-Ichinomiya stations. Put the 7–8 November opening hours into an itinerary before deciding to travel specifically for it. Check the official BEAMS announcement for updates, and budget for purchases separately from free entry. Choosing one item that works with existing clothes can reveal more about whether this patchwork suits you than buying an entire set simply because the shop lasts two days.
