PUMA HALI 1 PACE in Taiwan: NT$4,980, bright yellow styling, three technologies and selected stores
Tyrese Haliburton and Salehe Bembury's basketball shoe pairs a yellow upper with blue branding. Selected Taiwan outlets now carry it; NITROFOAM, TPU and PUMAGRIP serve different purposes, while fit remains personal.
The PUMA HALI 1 PACE is on sale through selected channels in Taiwan, with a recommended price of NT$4,980. Designed with Salehe Bembury, Tyrese Haliburton's signature basketball shoe uses the vivid yellow colourway described by PUMA Taiwan as “狂野亮黃” to give it an unmistakable presence. PUMA Taiwan distributed the release information on 28 October; the release itself names 23 October as the global launch date. The date a news release arrives and the date a product launches are separate facts.
What gives the yellow upper its depth?
The official product photograph places a pair on a locker-room bench beside a jersey bearing the HALIBURTON name. Yellow runs across the upper, laces and sole, with blue branding on the tongues. Rather than relying on numerous contrasting colours, the design draws attention to changes in surface and relief. Curved overlays extend along the sides, while the midsole has a textured surface. These are visible design features; a photograph cannot establish material percentages, shoe weight or measured ventilation.

A second campaign image shows Haliburton holding a basketball on an indoor court, wearing black sportswear and the yellow shoes. Against the darker setting, the footwear becomes especially prominent. These are brand-supplied product and campaign photographs, rather than a TIDEZINE wear test or documentation of an official game. For everyday styling, plain clothing can reduce visual clutter and let the colour stand out. Neither the jersey nor the pictured clothing is included in the shoe price.
What do the three technologies address?
PUMA Taiwan identifies NITROFOAM cushioning, a TPU arch-stability structure and a PUMAGRIP outsole. In the brand's account of the design, NITROFOAM focuses on cushioning and energy return; the midfoot TPU structure reinforces support and torsional stability; PUMAGRIP combines rubber and tread for traction during stops and starts. They address different parts of the shoe and different needs. A technology name alone does not establish equal suitability for every court or movement.
For players planning to use the shoes on court, a fitting should still check forefoot room, heel hold and pressure across the instep after lacing. Wearing the socks normally used for basketball makes the comparison more relevant. The manufacturer's descriptions do not provide comparative test data from TIDEZINE, so they cannot support claims that this shoe necessarily grips better, lasts longer than competitors or prevents injuries. Moisture, dust, playing habits and foot shape influence actual experience; a signature or campaign slogan does not replace an individual fit assessment.
Where can you see the shoes in Taiwan?
The brand's outlet list includes Taipei's Zhongxiao and Kunming stores, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Xinyi A11, Nangang LaLaport and NBA STORE Taipei. It also lists TaiMall and MetroWalk in Taoyuan, Far Eastern SOGO Hsinchu, Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taichung, the Taichung Taiping store and Far Eastern Department Store Kaohsiung. In Taipei, the Zhongxiao store is at No. 149, Section 4, Zhongxiao East Road, Da'an District, telephone 070-10160728. NBA STORE Taipei is at No. 8, Lane 169, Section 1, Dunhua South Road, telephone 02-6617-1070. Ask about the required size and colour before travelling.
The PUMA Taiwan shopping website is another enquiry point named by the brand. Stock, sizes and checkout prices depend on the channel's current information. The HALI 1 PACE combines Haliburton's signature identity, Bembury's footwear design and a strong yellow colour statement. Liking the player, liking the design and needing a playing shoe are distinct considerations: establish the intended use before deciding whether NT$4,980 fits the budget.
