PUMA CELL GEO 1 “Galactic Dust/Loden” Pairs Mossy Layers With a Sculptural Burgundy Heel
Style 405336-08 revisits 1990s CELL through leather, textile and a ridged rear structure. END.’s UK page already lists it at £139; reported November 1 availability in Japan is a separate regional timeline.
A retro-inspired runner need not aim for a thin profile. German sportswear brand PUMA’s CELL GEO 1 in Galactic Dust/Loden instead concentrates the presence of its 1990s cushioning system at the heel, tempering the shape with taupe, mossy green and burgundy. Style 405336-08 is already listed by British retailer END. at a displayed UK price of £139. The October 26 original report lists November 1 availability for Japan; those regional schedules cannot be treated as one worldwide debut.
The heel arrives before the upper
Most of the visual weight sits at the rear. A dark burgundy ridged structure expands outward like supports bending toward the back, while a lighter midsole line connects it to the dark upper. The forefoot is comparatively restrained rather than enlarged into an equally bulbous toe, creating a rhythm of a slimmer front and heavier rear. This is not a complete replica of an old shoe: the cushioning structure also becomes an identifiable shape.
The side silhouette contrasts a restrained forefoot with an outward-projecting ridged heel.A heel close-up shows dark leather, a light midsole and sculptural burgundy elements.
PUMA’s official account places CELL’s origins in the 1990s and describes the new CELL GEO as a sculptural contemporary extension. The heel’s architectural impression is visible in photographs, but a design description is not an independent performance test. Without published wear-test data for this edition, a prominent shape cannot be rewritten as faster running, fatigue-free walking or reduced strain on the body. In styling terms, it is first an object that changes the proportions seen from the side.
Tonal materials give olive more than one surface
Leather and textile divide the upper into textured sections, with a nap-like surface, smoother dark panels and woven areas alternating across the shoe. The side lines travel over different surfaces before connecting with the heel. Tonal laces keep attention on those materials and the sole instead of adding another bright color. A white leaping-cat mark on the tongue and a tonal smaller mark at the forefoot provide recognition at different distances.
A front three-quarter view separates leather, napped and woven-looking upper sections.
The overhead and outsole photographs answer questions the side view cannot. A narrowing toe, elongated lacing area and segmented patterns beneath the foot show that the substantial heel does not dominate every angle. Straight trousers can fall over the upper while exposing the ridges at the side; shorter hems bring the socks and collar into the color composition. These are photographic styling observations, not guarantees of grip, weather resistance or sporting suitability.
Overhead and underside views show the lacing area and segmented sole patterns.
Separate the style code, UK price and Japanese release information
The most dependable identifiers are 405336-08 and the full colorway name rather than a retailer’s broad green or brown category. END. specifies a leather and textile upper, CELL technology and a rubber outsole, and uses UK sizing. The familiar-looking numbers should not be assumed to match a usual US or European size; open the retailer’s conversion chart first. The presence of a size option also does not establish that every size is in stock.
Check the END. UK product page for current options. The displayed £139 is a UK retail price, while the original report’s ¥25,300 and November 1 date relate to Japan, not a Taiwan official price or a universal timetable. International delivery and returns depend on the actual destination. The colorway’s interest lies in using muted upper tones to restrain the dramatic sole, giving a chunky sneaker a clear technical profile without bright silver or fluorescent color.
