DAKS GOLF Korea’s Soft Attitude down: 10D-class yarn, no separate down bag and two warmth levels
The 2026 autumn/winter range focuses on touch as well as weight. Representative STEP 1 and STEP 2 pieces are about 10% and 20% lighter; the 240 g claim concerns a women’s model only.
A lightweight down jacket differs not only on the scale, but in how its fabric follows the body when shoulders turn and arms lift. DAKS GOLF Korea announced its 2026 autumn/winter Soft Attitude range on October 20, giving lightness and a soft feel equal attention through yarn, filling and internal construction. Intended for golf and everyday outfits, the range offers STEP 1 and STEP 2 configurations so buyers can consider when and how warmly they need to dress rather than simply seeking the thickest jacket.
Which structural layer has been removed?
The brand uses 10D-class lightweight yarn with goose filling composed of 90% down and 10% feathers. That describes the filling, not a claim that 90% of the entire garment is down; it also does not establish fill power or a temperature rating. LF emphasizes softness and a supple feel as this season’s material direction, aiming to reduce the jacket’s burden on movement while retaining warmth.
The range uses downproof processing and fills directly without a separate internal down bag. Removing that additional fabric layer is intended to reduce weight while preserving the material’s softness. Downproof processing suppresses filling escaping through the fabric; it does not promise that no down will ever escape. The absence of a separate down bag does not mean the garment has no internal construction at all. Understanding that method gives a more specific picture than a “lightweight” label alone.
STEP 1 and STEP 2: keep weight claims specific
STEP 1 prioritizes very low weight, while STEP 2 increases the warmth configuration; lightweight vests have also been added. The brand’s comparison is that representative STEP 1 pieces are about 10% lighter than the previous year’s and representative STEP 2 pieces about 20% lighter. Each number has a product and comparison basis: it is not a uniform 20% reduction across this year’s jackets. First decide whether you need a standalone layer, a midlayer or more warmth, then compare the appropriate pieces.
The approximately 240 g figure also needs context: it refers to a key women’s lightweight down jacket, not men’s garments or every size. The campaign shows both men’s and women’s clothing. An olive jacket, knitwear and dark denim form a men’s everyday outfit, while women’s looks use beige and green jackets in different combinations. These images illustrate silhouette and color, rather than substituting for individual weights and measurements.

Restrained silhouettes for an existing wardrobe
Gray, beige and olive green dominate, with subtle fabric sheen and restrained details. Down need not be paired only with track pants; these tones can connect with knitwear, denim and simple trousers. For autumn golf or daily movement, whether outerwear catches on inner layers and leaves shoulder room matters more than estimating fit from campaign images. Check each product’s measurements, particularly because a vest and a sleeved jacket allow different movement.

LF also reports light-down sales up about 15% year on year from September to mid-October, with the outerwear assortment segmented by season and warmth needs to more than 1.5 times the previous year’s level. Those are brand business figures, not an all-Korea sales ranking. Use LF’s official range introduction to check materials and the two configurations, then consult individual products for measurements, prices and availability. The announcement supplies no common wearing-temperature rating, so there is no basis for adding a climate guarantee.
