A new colour on a distinctive speaker changes how it reflects light as well as its presence in a room. The Devialet Phantom Ultimate 98 dB Pulse Blue Collector’s Edition opened for preorders through Chinese channels in late October, priced at CNY15,980 for the speaker and a separate CNY2,090 for the matching Tree stand. This is regional availability news for the French brand’s blue edition. Chinese prices should not be treated as global pricing, and October 23 was not its first worldwide appearance.
Deep RAL 5011 blue and mirrored sides turn shape into light
Pulse Blue uses deep RAL 5011 blue with mirror-polished side panels and clear lacquer adding depth. Front, side and angled photographs produce different light-and-dark boundaries around the same rounded form. Beyond the colour’s name, the interest lies in how differences in gloss divide the side panels from the body.

The matching Tree stand raises the speaker above a desk with a slender support and circular base. Without it, the speaker’s sides and back sit closer to a shelf or tabletop, changing the viewing height. The two frequently appear together in product photographs, but the separately priced stand is not included in the CNY15,980 speaker price.

What do 98 dB and high-resolution specifications each explain?
This edition lists a maximum sound pressure of 98 dB SPL, a frequency response of 18Hz–25kHz and support for audio up to 24-bit/192kHz, alongside ADH New-Gen, SAM and HBI technologies. Sound pressure, frequency range and file resolution are separate measures. They do not combine into a promise of identical sound in every room; placement, distance, source and volume affect listening.
The series supports a single speaker, a two-speaker stereo pair and multiroom arrangements. Anyone planning expansion should distinguish left and right channels in one room from synchronised playback across rooms, then check compatibility and network conditions. A mode change on one unit does not add a second physical speaker. Budget and positions need planning together.
The rear has its own cooling structure and connection positions.
Streaming and the app make everyday operation more specific
Phantom Ultimate uses DOS 3 and lists AirPlay, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Tidal Connect and Roon Ready among its supported options. Equalisation and listening modes can be adjusted in the Devialet App. Services, accounts and regional availability require separate checks. A supported-platform list does not mean every source will stream at the highest stated resolution.
The campaign features brand ambassador and racing driver Isack Hadjar, bringing pre-race concentration into the product narrative without giving the speaker an additional racing function. Consult Devialet’s official website for local products. Deciding between desk and stand, or one and two speakers, before considering how the mirrored blue suits the room’s light brings the choice closer to everyday use.
