Kings Of Leon Return to a Tiny Bar to Play, Tenth Album 'O My Beloved' Is All About Coming Home

Basement East, which holds just a few hundred people, is almost a joke compared to the arena-sized venues Kings Of Leon routinely sell out these days. But on September 10 (US time), the band chose to go back to the kind of scene they grew up in — packed into tiny clubs as teenagers. Tickets are sold at the door only, limited to two per person, no presale, no seating chart — just walk in, line up, get in.

This surprise show is being held to celebrate the band's announcement of their tenth studio album, "O My Beloved." The album will drop November 6 via Love Tap Records, featuring 13 tracks — their first full release since 2024's "Can We Please Have Fun." The lead single "My Whole World" was released simultaneously, centering on gratitude, family, and appreciation for the life they've built along the way.

Frontman Caleb Followill described the album as a letter to family and fans alike: "We've already gone beyond anything we ever imagined we could do, and we've built something really special." He went on to explain the motivation behind it: "I thought, wouldn't it be beautiful to make an album that looks back on everything we've done, that's grateful for how we got here. The songs have our family in them, stories from our childhood — things that might not have seemed important at the time, but coming back to them this way made me realize just how much they've shaped my life."

The tracklist for "O My Beloved" includes "Intro," "My Whole World," "Cold Blue Dawn," "The Hand," "Rose," "Make It Count," "KOYSAR," "Feel The Love," "Blue Jeans and Diamonds," "Warm Company," "Forever Endeavor," "Pretty Thing," and "Get You Down."

The announcement comes right on the heels of a string of major shows for the band. Earlier this year they wrapped up a 2026 UK tour with The Snuts, The Lathums, and The Royston Club as support. They also headlined Spain's Mad Cool 2026 alongside Foo Fighters, Florence + The Machine, and Pulp, plus opened the brand-new State Fayre festival with a hits-packed headline set. Going from stadium-scale touring straight into a Nashville bar gig with door sales and a two-ticket limit feels exactly like what "O My Beloved" is about — looking back at how you got to where you are now.

Their previous album, 2024's "Can We Please Have Fun," earned three stars from NME, which called it "KOL's most forward-thinking, loosest record in over a decade" while noting it "remains surprisingly restrained in places." Speaking to NME at the time, the band opened up about the mindset behind making it. Caleb said, "This was the most fun I've had making an album." Drummer Nathan Followill added, "We let ourselves become more vulnerable musically."

Pre-orders for "O My Beloved" are open now, with the album set for release on November 6.
