LISA’s six-track PRESS PLAY EP is out: Tarantino’s hotel mission and the CD’s cinematic design
LISA released PRESS PLAY and the Tarantino video on October 23. Explore the six songs, Bangkok-shot SaWaDiKa and a CD edition with a 12-page booklet and one random photocard.
Thai singer LISA released her new EP PRESS PLAY on October 23, 2026, alongside the video for lead track Tarantino. Issued through LLOUD Co. and RCA Records, the six-song project continues her solo path following 2025’s Alter Ego. Its point of entry is cinematic: film-like song titles and physical packaging in red, grey-blue and black place music, character styling and collectable objects within one visual language.
Tarantino places a delivery mission inside a hotel
The Tarantino video sets its story in a hotel. LISA moves through a succession of action sequences to deliver a note to her favourite director, Quentin Tarantino. That is the video’s narrative premise; the title’s connection with film culture offers a concrete viewing cue. Watch how the character moves through the hotel, then how action, changes of shot and performance connect the delivery mission, placing the song title’s cinematic reference within the story.
The EP includes Tarantino, V12, Cobra, Cut U Off, Sweat and SaWaDiKa: six songs in total. To move from a single into the complete project, viewers can begin with the lead video, then return to the six-song work, considering the character supplied by the visuals separately from the music’s arrangement. The EP and Tarantino arrived on the same day, whereas SaWaDiKa was released earlier and is now included. All six should therefore not be described as first appearing on October 23.
Connecting a Thai greeting, film characters and physical design
The title SaWaDiKa corresponds to the Thai greeting meaning hello, and its video was filmed in Bangkok, retaining a link to Thailand’s language and cityscape. That is a more tangible entry than an abstract claim of being international: a greeting itself can become a song title and a point of recognition. Compare it with Tarantino’s film-character mission. One connects with a familiar language, the other borrows a genre-film narrative framework, showing how the same singer changes performance settings.
The physical design deserves its own look. Official CD imagery uses a grey-blue ground, interrupted by red titles and the case spine. The cover’s long hair extends horizontally against the clear case’s right angles. An expanded packaging mock-up places a profile portrait, a seated interior image and the disc side by side. Blocks around the disc suggest the visual rhythm of film or projection. From cover to interior, the direction of the figure and the empty space also change as the case opens.
A PRESS PLAY CD packaging mock-up shows the cover, back, interior imagery, disc and a red paper item.
The CD has a 12-page booklet and one random card out of five
The official European store describes this CD edition as a Super Jewel Case with a 12-page booklet and one photocard randomly selected from five designs. One random card and a complete five-card set are different contents, a distinction to make before collecting. The page also retains the condition that orders ship once all items are in stock. These are this edition’s specifications and cannot automatically be extended to every territory or version. Whether the aim is streaming, video or a physical booklet will affect the chosen entry point.
Use the official release page for listening links and the official CD listing for packaging and shipping details. Approach PRESS PLAY’s video as narrative, its EP as a six-song whole and its CD as graphic and object design, comparing their use of figures, colour and titles. Each layer provides information and extends one release into different ways of looking and collecting.
