SBI Holdings spends US$270 million to acquire 20% stake in Indonesian Ajaib

US$270 million, 20% equity, this is the specific bargaining chip for SBI Holdings' investment in Indonesian platform Ajaib, and it also makes Ajaib a new member of the Japanese financial group's territory.

Ajaib’s portfolio alone is worth a second look: Cryptocurrencies sit alongside stablecoins and traditional securities investments on the platform, while it also offers OTC settlement services to institutional clients. In other words, the same interface not only caters to retail investors’ curiosity about crypto assets, but also caters to institutional-level OTC trading needs.

SBI Holdings chose to directly acquire 20% of the shares this time instead of purely strategic cooperation. This shareholding ratio itself illustrates the weight of the investment.

As for the completion time of the transaction, Ajaib's current user scale, and the specific methods of subsequent cooperation between the two parties in products or markets, relevant information has not yet been further disclosed.
