SNIDEL’s first Mizuno collaboration: MXR sneakers, dotted down and a ruched bag arrive online November 3
Four pieces bring SNIDEL’s street-meets-formal approach to Mizuno: MXR sneakers, a BREATH THERMO down jacket, a hoodie dress and a waist bag. Aoyama gets an October 30 preview sale, followed by Japan’s online launch November 3 and stores November 5.
What happens when a sportswear logo appears on polka-dot down and a shirt-panel hoodie dress? Announced October 29, SNIDEL’s first Mizuno collaboration spans four pieces: MXR sneakers, a down jacket, a hoodie dress and a waist bag. It connects SNIDEL’s street-meets-formal direction with sportswear. The interest goes beyond adding another name to a shoe: metallic surfaces, rounded volume and gathers reshape familiar athletic silhouettes for everyday styling. The collection has not launched everywhere yet, and its three release stages matter.
MXR’s metallic layers begin with the laces
The MXR makes that shift particularly clear. Drawing on 2000s footwear, the design combines an ivory base and fine mesh with metallic silver, matte gold and greige. In the official product image, silver overlays trace the upper, while pale-gold side branding and a creamy sole soften the contrast. It retains a running-shoe vocabulary in a palette closer to a gentle-toned wardrobe. This is a visual reading of the photographs, not a wear test or a claim that it suits every running need.
Two lace options are supplied: clean white and a patterned beige-and-ivory pair. Dual branding appears on the laces and insoles, with an emblem at the heel. The Japanese tax-inclusive price is ¥16,500, in sizes 23–25.5 cm at half-centimetre intervals. Comparing the two laces offers a simple way to consider how the same shoe’s character changes. Confirm fit and channel availability before buying; studio proportions cannot tell you how a shoe feels on foot.
Dotted down and a dress reshape athletic silhouettes
The down jacket moves the focus upward. The official black-and-white-dot styling image shows a rounded, voluminous short silhouette. A high collar and segmented stitching amplify the volume, balanced by a pale skirt below. Also offered in off-white, it comes in sizes 0 and 1 for ¥59,400 including Japanese tax. Mizuno says its BREATH THERMO material absorbs moisture produced by the body to generate heat and retain warmth. That is the brand’s material description, not a temperature test, waterproof rating or guarantee of suitability for extreme cold from this publication.

The hoodie dress takes a different route, combining a casual sweatshirt hood with the ordered appearance of shirt details. The brown close-up shows black ties and chest branding, making the neckline a focal point. Navy is the other colour. The brand specifies structured double-knit fabric with a brushed interior, sizes 0 and 1, and a tax-inclusive ¥19,800 price. Here, the collaboration is more interesting than a logo alone: athletic upper-body cues enter a one-piece outfit whose formality can change with styling. Other accessories in the photographs are not automatically included in the four-piece collection.

A ruched bag and three distinct release stages
The black waist bag condenses the approach into an accessory. Its ruched shoulder strap adjusts through the gathers, with a velour ribbon at the zip and SNIDEL–Mizuno branding on the front. In the official crossbody photograph, gathers continue around the bag and up the strap, softening a sporty shape. The product remains named a waist bag; the styling photograph does not prescribe a single way to wear it. It costs ¥13,200 including Japanese tax, in black, size F. Unpublished dimensions and capacity should not be guessed.

Sales begin at SNIDEL TOKYO AOYAMA on October 30. On November 3 at noon Japan time—11 a.m. in Taiwan—the collection launches through SNIDEL’s website, USAGI ONLINE, the MASH STORE app and Mizuno’s official online store. November 5 brings the nationwide Japanese SNIDEL-store release and selected Mizuno directly operated shops. Mizuno’s physical shops carry the sneakers only, not all four pieces. These are Japanese release details and yen prices; Taiwan retail availability, shipping coverage and stock require separate confirmation.
