TAILOR TOYO and BEAMS CRAZY SOUVENIR JACKET rearranges colour and embroidery
Released in Japan on 26 September, the special-order sukajan divides colour across panels, sleeves and ribs. Materials and current official stock clarify the design.
TAILOR TOYO and BEAMS released their CRAZY SOUVENIR JACKET in Japan on 26 September 2026 for ¥71,500 including tax. The special-order sukajan divides colour across front and back panels, sleeves and ribs, adding dragon, bird and tiger embroidery. The original report appeared on 24 September. This is a design revisited through a recent monthly ranking, not a collaboration making its debut today.
Crazy Pattern depends on how colour fields meet
Blue and green front panels meet different warm-coloured sleeves, while a black back panel supports large embroidery. Colour is organized around existing seams rather than added at random. Shoulders, zipper and hem therefore serve both construction and visual division without requiring extra collaged graphics.
A black back panel supports large tiger embroidery and Japan lettering.
Striped ribs at the collar, cuffs and hem create recurring points between bright surfaces. The same garment changes colour proportions from the front to the back or when the wearer raises an arm. For everyday styling, consider which view is most often visible, then use plain tops and trousers to manage the overall information rather than making every piece equally complex.
Dragon, bird and tiger are more than flat graphics
Front embroidery sits on differently coloured panels, while a large tiger and Japan lettering establish a second subject at the back. Thread direction and density give embroidery layers distinct from a fabric print. Published detail collages reveal wings, the dragon and tiger face, but images cannot establish production hours for every stitch. These public materials are not presented as a workshop visit by this publication.
A detail collage brings together wings, dragon embroidery and ribs.A rear-detail collage shows the tiger face and Japan lettering.
The official product page lists both shell and lining as 100% acetate, embroidery as 100% rayon and ribs as 100% acrylic. Those separate roles explain differences between glossy panels, imagery and elasticated edges. Shine does not establish silk content. Buyers should use the composition label and follow the garment’s care instructions rather than automatically applying the treatment for an ordinary cotton jacket.
Check the traditional silhouette separately from current stock
BEAMS describes the fit as following a traditional outline, with an original announced range of S to XXL. A staff styling example sizes up for a looser result, but that individual choice should not become universal advice. Sleeve movement, length and layers underneath need to match personal habits instead of selecting solely by height.
Use the official BEAMS product page and product code 11-18-9139-086 to enquire about sizes and shops offering a fitting; the retailer must confirm availability. Assess the colour blocks, embroidery and silhouette together: the front and back have different visual centres, while the sleeves and ribbing change how the colours meet as the arms move.
