N.HOOLYWOOD COMPILE and Danner launch a black suede Slip On with a replaceable Vibram sole
The second footwear release of the season pairs a laceless upper with a substantial sole. Here are the Italian suede details, JPY 69,300 price and November 3 Japanese launch plans.
N.HOOLYWOOD COMPILE and Danner plan to launch a new SLIP ON in Japan on November 3, 2026, priced at JPY 69,300. Their second footwear release of the season centres on black Italian suede. The laceless upper sits above a distinctly projecting sole edge and chunky tread, creating a contrast between a restrained upper half and a lower section with the visual weight of a work shoe.
Danner and N.HOOLYWOOD branding remains visible inside the shoe.
Why give black suede such a substantial sole edge?
Side photographs show the upper narrowing as it meets the sole, while the surrounding edge projects outward and heavy stitching defines the outline. This border creates presence through width, stitches and shadow rather than a bright colour. Napped Italian suede sits beside smooth leather trim, allowing different sections to remain legible even when the entire shoe is black.
Smooth leather finishes the opening, while a resilient insole covers the footbed. Photographs also show a tongue-like front edge and small openings at the sides of the collar, maintaining a shape associated with stepping directly into a shoe. These details distinguish it from lace-up footwear, but images cannot establish that it will suit every instep. Without laces to fine-tune tension, heel fit and pressure across the top of the foot become especially useful things to check in person.

What does a replaceable Vibram sole offer?
The shoe uses a flat Vibram lug outsole, with substantial tread extending beneath the forefoot and heel. The underside photograph makes its difference from a smooth dress-shoe sole easy to see. Sole replacement is an announced feature, useful information for someone planning long-term wear. Repair costs, acceptance conditions and turnaround time should still be checked with the retailer at purchase; replaceability does not mean free or unlimited servicing.
Styling can begin with the relationship between a trouser hem and the thick sole. Wide trousers exposing only part of the toe and edge can make the shoe a quiet foundation, while a shorter hem reveals more of the suede upper and chunky profile. These are suggestions based on its visible shape, rather than a wear test. Deep tread also should not be taken as certification for a particular outdoor environment.

Japanese price, sizes and stockists
The new SLIP ON is scheduled in sizes from 24.5 to 29.0 cm, in 0.5 cm steps, at JPY 69,300. Planned stockists include Mister Hollywood, Mister Hollywood Osaka, N.HOOLYWOOD directly operated stores and its official online shop. November 3 is the planned release date; this does not mean all shops already have it on October 25. Check current selling announcements and shop information through the N.HOOLYWOOD official website before travelling.

The partnership has also released a different lace-up design this season, so product names and specifications should be checked separately across releases. What makes this black suede SLIP ON interesting is its combination of a clean loafer-like opening, leather textures and a substantial sole. Waterproof lining or named insole specifications belonging to other models should not be carried over. Confirming the model, then comparing its fit and repair conditions, is more useful for everyday needs than judging by the collaboration alone.
