Carry an airmail letter: COXCOMB brings personalized leather goods to Tokyo and Kobe
COXCOMB’s November BEAMS pop-ups feature ENVELOPE leather goods, new baguette bags and mini wallets, plus appointments for designer Tony Crosbie to add lettering on selected visiting dates.
An airmail letter can become a leather bag you carry every day. Tony Crosbie’s COXCOMB will hold November 2026 pop-ups at Vermeerist BEAMS in Tokyo and BEAMS Kobe, with leather goods built around envelopes, stamps and handwritten addresses. The Tokyo event runs November 12–23, followed by Kobe on November 20–30. On selected dates, shoppers can book an appointment for the designer to add requested lettering to their purchase, giving the mail-inspired design a personal message.
Stamps and handwriting become everyday accessories
The signature ENVELOPE line transfers the striped border, stamps and recipient details of airmail onto leather goods. From a distance it reads as a colorful bag; up close it resembles an oversized letter. For someone who usually wears dark or simple clothing, the bag can become a small focal point. The same envelope idea also works on coin purses and card cases handled throughout the day, connecting a familiar postal format with dressing and everyday organization.
The event assortment includes ENVELOPE totes, square bags and shoulder bags, alongside card cases, coin cases, pouches and passport cases. New additions are a baguette bag and a mini wallet. Kobe separately lists two bag styles and five small-accessory styles, including a phone case, so the selection should be checked by store. Those starting with a small accessory can compare how they carry cards and coins; those wanting a stronger visual statement can consider the front surface and carrying style of each bag.

Tokyo and Kobe have different designer visiting dates
The Tokyo pop-up is at Vermeerist BEAMS, B1F Jingumae Terrace, 3-25-15 Jingumae, Shibuya, Tokyo. The designer is scheduled to visit on November 14 and 15, with appointments starting at 15:00, 16:00, 17:00, 18:00 and 19:00 on both days. Each lasts 45 minutes, and all times are local to Japan. The pop-up period and the designer’s visiting dates are separate schedules; anyone hoping to discuss lettering with Tony in person should plan around the appointment date.
Kobe’s pop-up runs November 20–30, with designer visits on November 21 and 22. November 21 appointments begin at 14:00, 15:00, 16:00, 18:00 and 19:00. On November 22 they begin at 11:00, 13:30, 14:30 and 15:30. Each is 45 minutes. The two days differ, notably with no 17:00 appointment listed on November 21. Confirming the chosen date and time directly with the store is the clearest way to plan a visit.
Book lettering, then choose your colors
The personalization service requires an appointment. Bookings opened at 11:00 on November 1, in store or by telephone, on a first-come basis. The designer adds requested lettering to the purchased item. On days when he is absent, completed pieces are dispatched in order or collected in store. The announcement does not list individual prices, personalization charges or overseas delivery coverage; shoppers can ask the store about these alongside text length, placement and completion time. The Tokyo store telephone number is 03-5771-5745, with arrangements subject to store confirmation.
The official page also shows COXCOMB pieces owned and regularly used by BEAMS staff: a green small tote, a bright yellow vertical bag and a navy square bag edged in pink. They illustrate how colors, stamps and lettering work together, and are examples from personal collections rather than a current stock list or a bundle of included objects. Fans of postal graphics can explore shape, color and words at the event, choosing a letter-shaped companion that fits their everyday life.
