A 911 ducktail for the coffee counter: Porsche × La Marzocco returns with Linea Micra and Pico

Adding classic sports-car character to a coffee counter means more than applying a logo here. On October 30, Porsche and La Marzocco unveiled their second joint collection, taking the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 into the Linea Micra espresso machine and Pico grinder through color, Carrera lettering, ducktail shapes and instrument details. Recommended retail prices are €5,790 for the machine and €1,550 for the grinder, separately priced pieces to consider through both design and daily operation.

Three car colors, different quantities and markets

This is the brands’ second collaboration after 2024, now focusing on the 911 Carrera RS 2.7 first presented in 1972. Its Carrera side lettering and ducktail rear spoiler supply recognizable references. For car enthusiasts, the appeal is seeing familiar forms broken down into smaller functional details. For coffee enthusiasts, a machine designed for home use gains a distinct visual language.

Linea Micra comes in three historic Porsche color combinations: Grand Prix White–Green, Tangerine–Black and Grand Prix White–Blue. White–Green and Tangerine–Black are limited to 911 machines each, while White–Blue is exclusive to Germany and limited to 150. Quantities and market conditions differ by version. Buyers can compare a broad orange finish with a white body accented in green or blue, then confirm the locally offered version and stock with the retailer.

Ducktail cup rail and 2.7 handles meet everyday operation

Close inspection reveals more than the overall colors. The cup rail takes inspiration from the ducktail spoiler; black handles carry laser-engraved RS and 2.7 markings, and analog pressure gauges use red and green indicators in a Porsche-inspired treatment. Carrera RS lettering, a historic Porsche logo and a magnetic RS 2.7 badge complete the exterior. These are elements of the product itself. Official campaign images place the machines and car together to make their color relationship clear.

The brand lists a convertible 3-in-1 portafilter that switches between single-spout, double-spout and bottomless configurations. The brew lever combines mechanical feel with an electrical switch. An insulated steam wand, accessible two-liter tank and LED work lights accompany La Marzocco Home app controls for temperature, settings and scheduling. These are official specifications rather than our brewing test results. Counter space and personal workflow are useful starting points for assessing suitability.

Grinder, accessories and model car are distinct items

The matching Pico grinder includes an adjustable magnetic portafilter fork and an auto-close bean hopper. The range extends to espresso and cappuccino cups, barista towels, coaster sets, coffee canisters, hoodies, T-shirts, caps and socks. A 1:18 Carrera RS 2.7 model with a miniature coffee machine adds another playful detail: it is a collectible display, not a tiny functioning espresso appliance. Accessories are collection items; a group photograph does not establish that they all come with the machine.

The collection premiered at an exclusive event at the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen on October 29, and launched through porsche.com, selected Porsche Centers and Porsche Design Stores on October 30. The premiere has ended, and purchase channels require regional confirmation. Euro recommended prices do not establish Taiwanese pricing or guarantee stock. For fans of cars and coffee, the interest lies in how the cup rail, handles and color blocks connect an everyday brewing ritual with another form of mechanical design.
