THE RERACS’ Sixth Three-Way Collaboration: Navy A2 Jackets and Wide Trousers Explained
THE RERACS, 1LDK and F/STORE connect four styles through dark navy. Released October 24, the collection distinguishes wool A2 jackets, a detachable collar and flannel trousers through different constructions and proportions.
The sixth collaboration between THE RERACS, 1LDK and F/STORE went on sale at noon Japan time on October 24, 2026, linking two A2 jackets and two trouser styles through dark navy. This is a three-party product project in which F/STORE participates as a retailer, rather than an independent exhibition of styling. It comprises a men’s short jacket, a version with a textured collar, five-pocket wide trousers and skirt-like trousers. The shared color allows coordinated outfits, but the fabrics and fastenings are not identical across all four.
How do the two A2 jackets differ?
The men’s THE A2 JACKET costs ¥94,600 including Japanese consumption tax. Starting from the flight-jacket form, it uses lightweight melton with a 100% wool shell and 100% cupro lining. Its concealed front fastening features the label’s original buffalo-horn buttons, while large front pockets and ribbed cuffs and hem remain. Room through the shoulders and sleeves and pleats at the back contrast a short length with a wider body. It reworks the military silhouette without recreating the leather of a reproduction flight jacket.
The men’s A2 front pockets and wider body are visible in a street outfit.
The women’s THE A2 JACKET WITH BOA COLLAR is ¥89,100 including tax. Its defining details are a removable textured collar and hidden snap fastenings; the men’s buffalo-horn button specification should not be applied here. The collar can be removed, and the jacket collar can also be raised and fastened for another neckline. Both jackets are labeled FREE, but the official measured lengths are 65 and 56 cm respectively, with shoulder widths of 52 and 55 cm. The same size label does not mean the same proportions, nor guarantee a fit for every body.
The women’s A2 adds a removable textured collar, giving its neckline a different finish from the men’s version.
What changes in the five-pocket and skirt-like trousers?
THE BELTED WIDE 5POCKET PANTS cost ¥49,500 including tax and use 100% wool College Flannel with a leather-covered buckle. The five-pocket layout borrows from jeans, but the shape takes a more dimensional trouser approach, with pressed front creases. The belt has been shortened slightly to reduce the hanging length, and sizes 46 and 48 are listed. Black warp and navy weft also give the dark color a woven depth beyond a flat blue surface.
The belt, front pockets and pressed creases show the wide trousers’ details.
GURKHA SKIRT LIKE PANTS cost ¥54,450 including tax. Despite a wrap-skirt appearance, they remain trousers inside. Overlapping front panels, crossed waist buckles and adjustment at both sides connect the outline to both a skirt and Gurkha trousers, while back pockets are omitted. They also use 100% wool College Flannel and are listed in sizes 36 and 38. The distinction from the men’s wide trousers lies in how the fabric wraps and opens, beyond a different product name.
Overlapping front panels and a Gurkha-style waist create the skirt-like trousers’ broad outline.
Proportions and measurements reveal more than matching color
The street photographs pair the A2 with brown wide trousers, a patterned top or dark bottoms. Its identity comes primarily from the short, broad upper shape, pockets and collar lines rather than a conspicuous collaboration graphic. With a longer jacket over wide trousers, the belt and rise create another focal point. These images help show the distances between jacket hem, trouser legs and shoes. The models’ outfits are proportion references, not guarantees of warmth or how the garments will fit every wearer.
Five-pocket wide trousers paired with a long jacket extend the dark navy line below the waist. The relationship between trouser hems and shoes offers a reference for outfit proportions.
To compare the men’s pieces, start with the official A2 measurements and materials, then consult the five-pocket trouser product page. All four pieces are listed as made in Japan and dry-clean only. Matching dark navy does not make the jackets’ lightweight melton and the trousers’ flannel identical in texture. Prices are Japanese tax-inclusive retail prices; overseas delivery, additional costs and current stock must be checked on the purchasing page.
